Menopause in South Asian Women: Breaking the Silence
Menopause can affect every woman differently, but for many South Asian women it is still a topic that is not talked about openly. Symptoms may be misunderstood, normalised, or dismissed, and many women may not know what support is available.
This webinar will offer a supportive and practical conversation about menopause in South Asian women, including common symptoms, cultural stigma, myths, emotional wellbeing, and treatment options. We will explore how menopause can affect daily life, sleep, mood, confidence, relationships, and long-term health, and where women can seek help.
This session is designed to raise awareness, encourage open conversation, and help women feel more informed, supported, and confident about their health.
Presented by Dr Jahnavi Veeramasuneni, a GP with 18 years of experience, Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner, and menopause specialist with the British Menopause Society, who is passionate about improving women’s health and menopause awareness, particularly for women from diverse cultural backgrounds.
