DIASPORA: Misery x Representasian present “A Thousand Ways to Speak”

An afternoon of collective storytelling, reflection, and care centred on mental health within Bristol’s South Asian community.

Together we’ll ask:
– What goes unsaid in our families and communities?
– What support do you wish you had access to?
– What are the ways you’ve been cared for?

The session will open with a short somatic grounding exercise and group agreements, facilitated by Aisha Mirza (@uglyinahotway) — writer, DJ, artist, and community organiser. Aisha is the creator of misery (@miseryparty), a mental health collective, outdoor education programme, grief space & sober club night centring healing for queer & trans people of the Global Majority.

We’ll then move into an open floor of storytelling — a chance to share experiences in a supportive, held environment.
