DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nFree Writing Workshops with Dr Roshni Beeharry – over 18s only\n\n\nWe are delighted to offer two writing workshops with Dr Roshni Beeharry, and these will provide a space for you to think about writing on a deeper level and to connect with others who write.\nThese workshops are free and open to all, but spaces are very limited, so book now, and please let us know if you are unable to attend.\n \n‘My Storied Self: A writing for wellbeing and personal development workshop’\nIn this generative workshop, Dr Roshni Beeharry (www.storiedselves.com), will introduce the concepts of writing for wellbeing (also known as therapeutic writing), and guide you through several writing prompts including the use of poetry, prose, images and other media, as well as the gallery space and artworks themselves, in order, to invite you to explore themes including identity and sense of self, in keeping with the project theme, ‘Free to be me.’ No specialist experience of writing is needed, just a notebook, pen and spirit of curiosity and participation!\nPlease bring your own pen and notebook for this event.\n \n\n\nRoshni is a poet,writer, Writing for Wellbeing Facilitator (www.storiedselves.com), Medical Educator and former doctor. Her poetry, flash fiction and non-fiction is published internationally.Roshni was longlisted for the Aeon Prize, highly commended in the Hippocrates Prize for Poetry \n
